She is an English singer-songwriter most known for the pop band Transvision Vamp
Born in London to Norwegian parents, she was adopted soon after birth.
She left home at the age of sixteen, moving to Brighton
In Brighton she met Nick Christian Sayer, who became her boyfriend and musical collaborator
They moved to London and formed the pop-punk band Transvision Vamp
She attracted media attention with her sexually-charged and rebellious image, and her pouting lips and husky voice
Transvision Vamp scored 10 UK chart hits and also enjoyed considerable success in Australia
When Transvision Vamp decided to split, she wrote to Elvis Costello asking for his guidance. In response he wrote a full album’s worth of material for her debut solo album.
In 2019 she went on tour to support the Psychedelic Furs, promoting her new album, Queen High Straight
In her time away from the music business, she moved to New York and learned to write and perform music and in 2004 she returned as the lead singer in a new band called Racine
As Transvision Vamp she released three albums and ten singles
Her hits include: “I Want Your Love”, “Revolution Baby” , “Baby I Don’t Care” and “Landslide of Love”
