The subsequent world tour featured an elaborate “space ship” set and laser light show
In 1988 he co-founded the supergroup Traveling Wilburys with George Harrison, Bob Dylan, Roy Orbison and Tom Petty
He was appointed an OBE in the 2020 Birthday Honours for services to music
ELO have recorded 15 studio albums, seven live albums, 40 compilation albums, 13 video albums, 33 music videos, one extended play, 50 singles, one soundtrack album and eight box sets.
ELO have also sold over 50 million records worldwide.
His hits include: “Evil Woman”, “Livin’ Thing”, “Telephone Line”, “Mr. Blue Sky”, “Don’t Bring Me Down” and “Hold On Tight”
