Axl Rose
- Born William Bruce in Indiana on 6 February 1962
- American musician
- His parents separated when he was two. His dad was later murdered by a criminal acquaintance.
- He grew up in a very religious household and even went on to teach at Sunday School.
- At High School he formed a band with his friends. Among them, Jeff Isbell, who would later become a professional bandmate
- In his teenage years, he was arrested more than 20 times for charges ranging from public intoxication to battery.
- While trying to make it as a singer, he took on a night manager job at the Sunset Boulevard Tower Records.
- He also took part in a scientific study, smoking cigarettes for a reported $8 an hour.
- In 1983, he formed Hollywood Rose with Izzy, Slash and Steven.
- The band then went on to merge with L.A. Guns and became Guns N’ Roses.
- He had a small, uncredited role in the 1988 Clint Eastwood film The Dead Pool, playing a musician who attends a funeral.
- He is a cat person. He has three tabbies named Dijon, Dexter and Whiskey.
- The rider for his 2010 concert included: Two bear-shaped tubes of honey and seven kinds of cheese to be served in a black dressing room lit by six lamps and decorated with 18 white roses and 18 red ones.
- He married Erin Everly, the daughter of singer Don Everly of The Everly Brothers and wrote the song Sweet Child O’ Mine for her.
- He was once arrested in Sweden for biting a security guard in the leg
- He has released six studio albums, one live album, two compilation albums, four extended plays (EPs), 20 singles, nine video albums and 23 music videos.
